About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical / Instrument Technician to work on multiple projects with leading the efforts to design, build and contract the control, and automation control panels. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working as an electrician or instrument technician in an industrial setting. Familiarity with SCADA systems, industrial networks, and PLC programming will beneficial.

Role responsibilities

  • Design & build of electrical control panels both internally and using external partners;
  • Interfacing and management of electrical and control construction vendors;
  • Supervision of team members working in the manufacture and modification of control panels;
  • Troubleshooting and optimisation of control and electrical systems on test and pilot plants;
  • Work with the team members to provide solutions to unique technology problems; and
  • Define and execute validation plans in collaboration with the rest of the Hysata team.

What you'll bring

  • Licenced Electrician in NSW;
  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Electrical / Instrument technology;
  • Experience in an industrial setting;
  • Good working knowledge of PLC based control systems;
  • Clear and open communication;
  • Motivated and capable of working independently within a multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Ability to adapt within a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment;
  • Flexible working hours to adapt to project and operational needs; and
  • Experience with electrolysers, battery, or energy storage systems a plus.
