Port Kembla, New South Wales, Australia

About us

Hysata is on a mission to accelerate the shift from fossil fuels to green hydrogen with the world’s most efficient electrolyser. Our breakthrough capillary-fed electrolyser achieves an unprecedented 95% system efficiency (41.5 kWh/kg) – a step change from incumbent technologies, which typically sit at ~75% and already ahead of International Renewable Energy Agency’s 2050 target. This leap in performance enables a radically simpler system design, slashing both energy use (opex) and system and renewables capex.

Hysata’s innovation has captured global attention, including publication in Nature Communications and support from leading strategic and financial investors such as BP, POSCO and Vestas. With over 100 team members, we’re a high-performing, purpose-driven company, proud to be 35% women, representing 20+ nationalities, and united by a shared mission to enable the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors such as steel, chemical manufacturing, shipping and aviation.

Having secured Australia’s largest ever cleantech Series B raise of US$111 million, Hysata is scaling rapidly to bring our technology to market. With strong customer demand and a clear path to manufacturing at scale, we are on track to become a global leader in green hydrogen and put a major dent in global emissions.

About the role

Hysata seeks a Product Analyst to be the analytical engine that connects customer needs, techno‑economic insight and product development. Reporting to the Product Manager, the role owns and refines techno‑economic models, turning data into clear direction. It guides commercial, R&D, engineering, manufacturing and project teams with solid numbers, steering the process toward building the world’s best electrolyser. Acting as the bridge between customers and internal teams, the analyst shapes product decisions that maximise value and advance company goals. The role offers broad exposure across the company and high visibility with the leadership team.

Role responsibilities

  • Develop & maintain techno‑economic models to simulate customer projects and quantify the impact of design choices on LCOH, ROI, NPV and other key metrics;
  • Run sensitivity and “what‑if” analyses to identify cost‑out pathways and optimise system configurations;
  • Translate modelling insights into compelling internal and external documents that steer product decisions and support sales conversations;
  • Support customer engagements, articulating the economic advantages of Hysata’s electrolyser versus competitor systems and answering technical/commercial RFIs;
  • Monitor market and competitor trends, feeding actionable intelligence into product strategy and roadmap updates;
  • Deeply understand customer requirements across different end use sectors and geographies, including hydrogen specifications, electrolyser performance requirements, installation, commissioning and servicing, input power profiles, and relevant standards and certification; and
  • Support cross-functional product roadmap decisions that require synthesising commercial, competitor, technical and strategic implications.

  • You’re organised and always focused on high value topics, juggling several priorities without dropping the ball;
  • You solve problems in a structured way and are an analytical thinker. You enjoy building excel models, and pull out the “so what” with clarity;
  • You explain ideas clearly. You’re able to distil complex analysis into clear stories for customers, executives and engineers;
  • You build relationships easily. Work well with engineers, commercial teams and external partners;
  • You care about climate tech. Purpose matters to you and you want to move the needle on clean energy; and
